About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

i have a question regarding visa application do i have to have a booked flight before i can apply for a visa (if so what if my visa was refused )

You don't need to book a flight before obtaining a China visa, for australian applicants of tourist visa, the rule is not strict, you just need to provide the documents listed on the top of this page.
