can one take a river cruise from Gulin south to Nanning ? I will be coming to visit Gulin the first week of May with my Chinese lady friend and I am curious as to how far one can travel south on the rivers and maybe get to another city where we can then get a train back to Nanning , please let me know if anyone can give me information on this ..xie xie ni !

There is no water way from Guilin to Nanning in fact, but only the trains. You can only take the cruise between Guilin and Yangshuo. For the trian ticket of back to Nanning, you can book it through https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains in advance.

there has no boat from Guilin to Nanning.if you want to go to Nannning ,you must by bus or by train.LI river cruise is from Guilin to Yangshuo ,then you by bus to Naning in Yangshuo.
