About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Good Day! I am work here in china for a long year, and I brought my wife and my child. next few months they need to renew their residence permit. but the immigration said they need a new requirements. they need our marriage contract and my son birth certificate to authenticates in the philippines china embassy. here is my question, it is possible to get the authentication without their apperance? what if our relatives arrange for us? if so what the requirements we need to arrange. Thanks!

for authentication to the department of foreign affairs, is it possible to do it with my relatives? because I am currently in PRC

is the Chinese embassy in manila the only place who can authenticate marriage certificate?

Annie, yes, your relatives can do it for you. If the area you come from in Philippines belongs to the consular district of the embassy of PRC in Manila, you can only authenticate the documents there.

Yes, they can entrust someone else to apply for authentication of the documents on their behalf, the procedures are:
For official document (such as Birth Certificate, Marriage contract, etc.) should be

first, issued by relevant authority of the Philippines (such as National Statistics Office)

second, authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Philippines and finally authenticated by the Chinese Embassy
