About:Embassy & Consulates of Singapore in China

Hi,
I'm planning to marry my China GF this coming May, as I will have only 14days to settle everything in China. Therefore I would like to seek some advise whether i'm on the right track to prevent any delay.

1)I would need to get Single Status Cert and Birth Cert authenticated in SG MFA and Chinese Embassy. (Am i getting my Single Status Cert in SG MFA or somewhere else?)

2)I can proceed with the registering of marriage with my valid passport, both authenticated birth and Single Status Cert in China.

3)After getting the marriage certificate, can i get it authenticate alone without my wife in SG Chinese Embassy instead of heading to SG Embassy in China.

4)With the marriage cert authenticated in SG Chinese Embassy, do i still need to apply Visa if i'm applying Long-Term Visit Pass for my wife to come over?

Please do correct me if I am wrong. Appreciate for your help.

The steps are as follows if you are divorced in singapore and require a single status marital certificate to get married in China. You also required your birth certificate just in case, divorce papers (final absolute), single status marital cert certified and translated into chinese. This info is accurate as of October 2012:
1. Go to ROM, pay $35 for the search for marriage records. This is required as you need the official ROM stamped records to submit to MFA to certify that you are single. You can do this online or go to ROM. Self collection take 1 working day, by mail will take 4 working days to reach you.
2. Take your divorce absolute documents, go to singapore family court in havelock road area to be examined. Go to family court level 3, take a queue number. Tell the counter girl that you want to get the divorce absolute examined. You will need to fill up a form, advice to go to crimson logic service center in chinatown point 19th floor for payment of about $33. For urgent service, add $1.28. Urgent service will take 1 to 2 working days, normal service will take 3 - 4 working days.
3. Take the ROM stamped marriage records (Should show your last marriage date) and the divorce absolute examined document, go to subcourt level 1 interpreter counter to get it translated to chinese. 100 chinese characters $18, next 100 at $12. e.g. 300 chines character will cost $42.
4. Take the original ROM stamped records and divorce absolute paper with the translated documents, go to MFA. MFA will then issue you a single status marital cert. Bring your birth cert along as well if you want to get certified or subcourt can do the notary public service and you can also get it translated in subcourt. (subordinate court at havelock road beside family court).
6. For chinese embassy part, havent tried yet, maybe you can try to go there and see whether they do stamping service on your documents.

1)You would need to get Single Status Cert and Birth Cert authenticated in SG MFA and Chinese Embassy. (you need to get Single Status Cert from marriage registration office)

2)you can proceed with the registration of marriage with your valid passport, both authenticated birth and Single Status Cert in China.

3)After getting the marriage certificate, you need to take it notarized in a local notary public in SGP, then go to police station to change your status of marriage on the household registration

4) You still need to apply SGP visa for your wife if you are applying Long-Term Visit Pass for my wife to come over
