About:How to Get from Hangzhou to Shanghai

Hello,

In my upcoming travel plans I plan to take a ferry from Incheon, Korea to Lianyungang, China. My goal is to get to Shanghai quickly.

1. If I land in Lianyungang ferry port at 3:00pm will I have enough time to get to Lianyungang train station to catch the 5:10 (2hrs 10min) or 5:41 (2hrs 41min) train to Shanghai?

2. If so what is the best / cheapest mode of transport?

3. Is it worth staying a night in Lianyungang? What is there to do?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The ferry terminal is close to Lianyungang East Railway Station, which operates only one train to Shanghai at 17:10. Upon arrival, you could spend one hour collecting luggage and taking a taxi to the railway station. However, it is not sure that you could purcase a train ticket on the spot.

Alternatively, you could take a coach from Lianyungang to get to Shanghai in 5 hours. Upon arrival, you should take a bus to the Xinpu Bus Station (close to Lianyuangang Railway Station) and then take a coach to Shanghai.

Thank you for your help Mr. Leo.

I was wondering when I arrive at the Lianyungang ferry terminal..

1. Where can I catch a bus to Xinpu Bus Station?

2. How frequently do they run?

3. How much?

4. How much is the bus from Xinpu Bus Station to Shanghai?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks again,
Meka
