About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

I want to go to china with my friends they have Irish passport and I have non Eu-passport, but i have my residence permit (stamp 4) here in Ireland for 11years. we have also booked a group return flight and Hotel. Can i apply for tourist Visa? and what is the requirement as i was told I need to get invitation letter when i ring the embassy to inquire for requirement. We are due traveling 30/3/2011.

Yes, you can apply for a tourist visa to China from Chinese embassy in Ireland. Documents are listed above on this page. Residence Permit is required. And you have to provide what the visa officers asked for. I think here they mean the invitation letter from a China travel agency, which you are going to travel with.
