About:Shanghai Weather

We are visiting Shanghai 23rd April - 7th May. We will be staying in PuDong District, Hu Nan Road.
Is it safe to walk around the local streets and visit local shops or cafes?
Do many residents of this area speak English>

You could take easy and enjoy the trip:) This city is safe and interesting for travellers. The young locals, such as students and office staffs, could speak simple English. However, seldom shop staffs, drivers and waiters could undertand English. I don't thin it will be a problem for you since these city has equipped with many signboards in English, on road, bus and metro.
