An economical way is to take bus E32 from the airport to CHEUNG ON BUS TERMINUS, then transfer to bus 44P to MONG KOK EAST RAILWAY STATION and walk to the hotel. It costs about HKD16/person.
I think 8 days are too long to visit HK. 3 days are enough. You can use the pther four days to have a general visit of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Macau.
Day 1: Ocean Park--Stanley Market--the Peak--Madame Tussauds--Victoria Bay--Avenue of Stars--Symphony of lights--Temple Street
Day 2: Ngong Ping 360--Giant Buddha--Disneyland
Day 3:Repulse Bay--Central--Lan Kwai Fong--Soho--Tsim Sha Tsui shopping area--Mongkok shopping area
Day 4: Macau
Day 5: Zhuhai
Day 6: Guangzhou
Day 7: Shenzhen
Day 8: leaving HK

Actually its my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary, since they are old, we tried a one day at at time tour interval, so they can rest and not to gain stress.
Could you please format or suggest on these dates below:
April 23 - Arrival 10:00am (what to do?)
April 24 - near Kawloon only?
April 25 - ?
April 26 - rest day
April 27 - ?
April 28 - rest day
April 29 - ?
April 30 - rest and back home (at around 9am)

We would like to go on these tourist site (The Peak, Madam Tussauds, Avenue star, symphony of lights,DHL ballon, tsing ma bridge, lantau island ( giant buddha, ocean park, disney land, ngong ping) and is it possible for one day side trip tour to Macau?
