About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

I am a NZ passport holder wishing to apply for a chinese tourist visa but I live in Australia. Am I able to apply for a visa through an Australian Chinese Visa office or must I send my applications back to NZ for visas? Thanks!

Thank you, but as a NZ passport holder we do not need a resident or work permit as New Zealand citizens are able to live and work in Australia freely. Can I still apply in Australia as I do not have any need for permits?

Applicants who are in Australia free of visa or with ETA and electronic visa, Australian entry record should be provided, both the original and the copy. You can still apply for China visa in Australia.

You are able to apply for a China visa through an Australian Chinese visa office, but you need to provide Australian residence permit or work permit.
