What are the good and bad things of the Yellow River in China.

Good things: there are rich biological resources in Yellow River; the water in the river is used for generating electricity; Yellow River nurtures tens of thousands of people on the banks.
Bad things: great quantities of sand is brought down to the lower reaches which threatens the life of the people there;
