Hi, what is a typical Shanghainese breakfast? Where would you advise tourists to go for breakfast? I will be staying somewhere near the People's Square. It need not be near the hotel, but as long as it is accessible by metro.

Of course you should not miss the Snacks. Wujiang Road is the most popular snack street in the city which is located in the southeast of Jing'an District and near the People's Square.
