Hi there, Im planning on visitng Leshan Buddha from Chengdu by Public Bus.Ive been told this takes approx 2 - 3 hrs? Just also wondering if antone has arranged this as planning to go in May as a day trip so plan to make it back to Chengdu in the afternoon - any ideas of the bus times ? Id like to see Leshan Buddha from the mountain and also via a boat trip - so do you think this is possible?Thanks - Jeff

No, it takes about 1.5 hours from Chengdu Xinnanmen bus station to Leshan Giant Buddha, so you can make a round trip to Leshan Buddha in one day. I don't think you there is boat there.
