About:Terracotta Army, Xian

How can this be arranged, for I want to spend a week in Xi'an to get a closer look at the Terracotta Army and talk to some of the people working on the site?

Can you help me?

I plan to go back to China in the September/October school holidays this
year. I want to spend a week in Xi'an staying at the Heizee Hotel.

My reason for going is to spend some time researching the Terracotta
Warriors. I was in Xi'an last year but was part of a tour group and I there was no time to do what I wanted to do.

I am a senior school teacher. I teach Ancient History and my
specialisation is Ancient China. I would love to get a closer look at the Terracotta Army and talk to some of the people working on the site who excavate and restore the figures. I would need access to behind the scenes at the site. I would also like to visit the First Emperor's Mausoleum on Lishan Mountain (I know there is no access to
the actual mausoleum).

How can this be arranged? I am happy to pay any fees or meet any cost involved to hire guides etc. And I would like to take video and photos to create a presentation for my students. I have seen other people go 'behind the scenes' for educational and research purposes and I would love to do something similar.

Can you advise me?

Many thanks,

Steve in Australia

You can just book a tour through a local travel company like Travel China Guide.
