As a child of a Chinese citizen, you can apply for a Multiple Entry China "L" Visa valid for 24 months. And you are required to provide original and photocopy of relevant Birth Certificate, Kinship Certificate. And also, you shall write down your Chinese name in the application form and submit your original and the photocopy of HK ID.

Miles is not giving the right answer. They are looking for the mainland china travel permit card, which allows one unlimited visits to China. This can be applied for in HK.
