A bank statements of last 6 months is ok, sir. The invitaion letter should contain your name, nationality, occupation, purpose of the visit, the planned date of entry and financial conditions, together with inviter's name, address, etc. You can apply for your family China visas on their behalf, personal appearance is required only when visa officers deem necessary.
