I will be staying in Lido Hotel in Guangchou and will be going to Shenzhen Guang shen hotel. Can anyone tell me whether I should take a bus or train to Shenzhen from Guangchou. Thanks

I think　you should take bullet train which is comfortable and much faster. Guangshen Hotel is not far from Shenzhen Railway Station.
