About:Beijing Great Wall

Hi,

I want to take an overnight train from Nanjing to Beijing late March. How do I go about getting from Beijing central station to any section of the Wall - and back again? And how long do you reckon it is, timewise, from the train station to the Wall?

Hey,

I don't know which train yet, and I don't particularly mind which part of the wall (the most historic, or least touristy?). I've never been to China before (obviously...) so I don't know how to proceed.

Gubeikou section is old and with less toursits, but it is less easier to reach from Beijing. Mutianyu is less crowded than Bdaling Great Wall. Then, you have to go to Dongzhimen first. Then take bus to Huairou or Miyun to Mutianyu or Gubeikou.
