About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

Hi, I'll be flying in from Singapore to Harbin in Mid-March and hope to take overnight train to Beijing for flight back home. Want to know the fares/time n duration for soft sleeper(4 pax) or the single soft sleeper type?
I've looked at the tables of fares n time but don't quite get it.

hi, here are some overnight express trains for your reference:
T18 21:10/08:31 11h.31min.
Z16 21:36/07:20 9h.44min.
Z2 21:42/07:26 9h.44min.
The soft sleeper ticket costs RMB429 and it is RMB281 for hard sleeper lower berth. There are four berthes in one compartment in soft sleeper train and six berthes in the hard sleeper.
