Question

Hello, I have just finished my TEFL (Teaching English Foreign Language) course and am qualified to teach in China/Japan/Thailand etc.I want to teach in China but the job requirments need me to have a university degree in order to obtain a work permit. Can I fly to HK and then buy a business visa for China and go on from there to work as an assistant teacher in China?Any help would be appreciated,David

Hi, David, you are not allowed to work on a business visa, and it generally is single/souble entry with short duration each. You have to exit China when your visa expires. If you want to work in China, you'd better apply for a work visa directly. And, to apply for a business visa, you need an invitation letter from China as well. To apply from Hong Kong, the visa requirements are almost the same.
