About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hello, I have just finished my TEFL (Teaching English Foreign Language) course and am qualified to teach in China/Japan/Thailand etc.

I want to teach in China but the job requirments need me to have a university degree in order to obtain a work permit. Can I fly to HK and then buy a business visa for China and go on from there to work as an assistant teacher in China?

Any help would be appreciated,
David

Hi, David, you are not allowed to work on a business visa, and it generally is single/souble entry with short duration each. You have to exit China when your visa expires. If you want to work in China, you'd better apply for a work visa directly. And, to apply for a business visa, you need an invitation letter from China as well. To apply from Hong Kong, the visa requirements are almost the same.
