About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

I have worked in Harbin, China for 4 yrs before moving here in Alberta. I am soon applying for my PR but one of the requirements is a Police Clearance from Harbin. I have an old one which is a copy of what I submitted to the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, but it is not translated in English. And I have asked friends in Harbin if they can get me a new Police clearance but I heard they require a personal appearance. I cannot afford to fly back to Harbin to get that police clearance. Can the consulate office help me get this police clearance? Please advice. Thank you.

Hi, Ms.Gail, you can obtain a police certificate from Public Security Bureau in Harbin by asking someone to act on your behalf. In order to do this, you need to give this person a Specific written authorization. and if you are a non-Chinese national, a photocopy of your passport, including the page that contains the Chinese visa are required.
