I will be in Hangzhou in March and would like to visit great wall. I have Saturday and Sunday available. I understand it is near Beijing. Is it possible to travel from Hangzhou to Beijing by high speed train and how long would it take? Any suggestion on good hotel to stay at?

There is only one high-speed train D310 departing from Hangzhou to Beijing South Railway Station. The train will leavs at 20:33 and arrive at 07:44 the next morning. Upon arrive at Beijing South Railway Station, you could take subway Line 4 to Xidan, which is the central area of Beijing. It is suggested that you book a hotel here, or in the nearby Tiananmen Square.
