About:Harbin Weather

Hi, I plan to visit Harbin between 1st April and 5th April 2011 with my 4 year old son.
One purpose is so that my son can see snow. Will there still be snow at that time?

I'm afraid that you will miss the snow unless the unexpected cold air visits Harbin in April. Good luck!

In my opinion, Apirl is a good season to visit Harbin coz the weather gets warmmer and the trees will turn green. However, the Songhua River is still frozen, you can see the frozen Songhua River covered with the snow. Besides, You can breathe the fresh air and enjoy the warm sunshine on the Sun Island. In addition, you can pay a visit to the Indoor Ice Festival on the Sun Island, which is as beautiful as the Outdoor Ice Festival in winter time. The Indoor Ice Festival is the largest indoor ice carving exhibition in the world, with the total space of 5,000 square meters. There are more than 100 colorful and illuminated icy masterpieces available inside the ice palace which the temperature drops to 10 degree below zero all year around. You can’t miss it. And finally, you can visit other attractions in Harbin, including the Russian Village, Sebrian Tiger Park, Polarland Park, Dragon Tower, Sofia Church, Synagogue, Central Street, etc.
