3 days are enough for you to see the essence of Shanghai. It is suggested that you book a hotel around the People's Square or on the Nanjing Road. So, you could spend one days in walking along the Nanjing Road to Bund and then take the Huangpu River Cruise. While on Nanjing Road, you may found cheong-sam. Finally, climb up the Oriental Pearl. On the next day, you could take an excursion to Qipu Town or Zhouzhuang from Shanghai. On the last day, go to see the expo site.
