About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi

I have booked flight below:
MU 702 16MAR 3 HKG-PVG 1340 1600
CA 177 16MAR 3 PVG-MEL 1915 0900
Transit time at Pudong airport is 3hours.
I arrive Pudong Terminal 1 and depart at terminal2.
i will be transferred from MU to CA. My concerns is
1)when i arrive pudong airport do i need to get my luggage out
and re-checkin for CA flight to Melbourne.
2) 3 hours transit time , is enough?

Yes, you need to claim you luggage and recheck-in for your next flight at Pudong airport.
3 hours are enough for you to do this transfer.

That flight must have been amazingly cheap for you to consider such an odd routing. For future reference, China Southern offers daily non stop flights between Guangzhou (2 hours from Hong Kong by bus/train) and Melbourne and 2 daily flights between Guangzhou and Sydney.
