About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Dear Sir/madam:

My son is working in taiwan and was promoted but have to be assigned in China where his company has branch office there. He is coming back to Philippines and will apply for a tourist visa, while his employer is applying for his working visa. If he applies for a tourist visa, can he apply for a 30 day visit visa?

He can apply for a tourist visa, but now, he will possibly get a visa valid for 14 days only. But if he had already got required documents from his company in China, he can apply for a work (Z) visa directly. To change visa type in China is difficult and costs much.
