About:History of Silk Road

How long is the silk road was it? Who came up with the idea to travel it? Was the route invented by humans?

It starts from China in the east and ends at ancient Rome in the west, having a length of over 7,000km. Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty assigned Zhang Qian to made a trip to the west regions, then the silk road was opened.
