Traveling June 2 from Shanghai to Beijing. I will be arriving in Shanghai on May 26. Shall I just wait until I arrive to book or is there an advantage to booking early?

It is OK for you to buy it on the spot. Well, yo ucan also book it early in advance so that you have no need to wait for long at the train station to buy it .
