About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

I am living in Italy since Jan 17th with a "Residenza elletiva" long term visa. My "permesso di soggiorno" was recently approved but the appointment to receive it was fixed for next March 21th. I need to go Beijing for a week ending February. Can I ask for the Chinese visa with my italian visa?? Is this case included in the exception for those who enjoy visa or permit exemption for residing or working in Italy.
Thank you

You can apply for a China visa with your Italian visa, and you'd better provide receipt of your current processing for residence permit. You are not included in the visa exemption to work or reside in Italy.
