About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi,
Me and my friends are planning to go to Beijing china this november 2011 but however somebody told us that one of the requirements to be able to get visa for beijing is we need to have 70,000 pesos in the bank ( statement of account) is this really true? because we dont have that much saving but we are all regular at work and for 3 years already and we already been to hongkong macau malaysia singapore and thailand .We just want to see great wall in china that's why we want to go to china.We don't have plan to stay for long 4 days will do?

It is true as far as I know for tourist visa applications in philippines, and also heard about for pesos 50,000 at least. if you will apply for China visas through a travel agency, they will ask more for about pesos 300,000. bank statement is a proof that you can cover your expense when you are in china.
