About:China Visa Application in USA

My son-in-laws airline ticket to China is in his full name with middle name. His passport only has his first and last name. Will he have any problem getting a visa or getting into China? Do we have to have hotel reservations in china before applying for the visa?

In this case, he needs documents for that, to be proved that there are mistakes with his names. Or, he may ne refused to aboard the plane and get China visa as well. Hotel reservation is not required, but if you have, you can just provide it to visa officers when submit your application.
