About:Hong Kong Airport Express

Is the same day return ticket valid for return travel on the trains which leaves the city after midnight (-e.g. the last train leaves 48 mins past midnight)?

48 mins past midnight is actually the next day, so I think you are not able to use the ticket on return. You can enquire about it when buying the ticket.
