About:Travel to Tibet

I am planning to visit Tibet last week of May 2011. I was told by a tour operator that
international visitors are not allowed from March to May this year for some reason.
Do you know any thing about this? Thank you

I think it's true, since it will be the 60th Anniversary of the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet then.

I will be going in the same period - end of May 2011 - and I am a Canadian passport holder. Can someone confirmed this is true or not? I have already bought air tickets to Asia.
