About:Hong Kong Visa Application

PLS I HAVE A CONFERENCE TO ATTEND IN HK BETWEEN JULY 6TH -8TH 2011 AT HK SHUE YAN UNIVERSITY. IAM A LECTURER IN A NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY, I ALREADY HAVE INVITATION FOR THE CONFERENCE, WHICH TYPE OF VISA DO I NEED AND HOW CAN I GET IT

You need a visit visa to Hong Kong for attending a conference. You can first go to China embassy/consulate in Nigeria to try to apply for Hong Kong visit visa, if the embassy/consulate doesn't accept the application, you can send the application directly to Immigration Department of Hong Kong Government.

It takes as long as 1 month for visa processing if the application needs the approval of immigration department of Hong Kong Government, you'd better apply for Hong Kong visit visa in early May.
