About:China Weather

We are considering China in July - Shanghai, Bejing, Three Gorges, etc. We have read that is rains about 11-14 days per month in July -- but does it rain ALL DAY typically, or are there showers off and on throughout the day more sporadically, or are their afternoon "monsoons" as some folks call them, etc. ??? It is much cheaper to travel in July but we don't want to ruin a vacation with rain. Thanks

It may rain but not last very long time. It is not tipical afternoon monsoons like I heard in Malaysia but I think it will not ruin your holiday. I had a Yangtze cruise(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cruise/) in late May. Will you see the Gorges from Yichang by bus or take a cruise ship? Anyway, I just want to say it has been hot at that time, especially in Wuhan and Chongqing. Hotter in July. I came cross heavy rain at noon at my last day in Wuhan. It did ruin half a day.

Thank you very much. Your information is very helpful. We will be on a small ship to see the Three Gorges. We will plan on hot weather, and be prepared for rain -- but as you say, it should not ruin our vacation, maybe only a day or two.
