If your Italian boss works or resides in Hong Kong and holds the Hong Kong ID card, it is possible for him to get a multiple entry visa. If he is a short-term visitors in Hong Kong and have never been China, a single entry or double entry visa will be issued to him rather than multiple entry visa.
