About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Thanks for the quick response to my first message. While in China, I expect to be travelling around, so I would be grateful if you can tell me

1. How soon after arrival can I ask for a visa extension?
2. Where in China can I apply for the extension?
3. What documentation, if any, will I need to submit?
4. How many working days will it take to get the extension?
5. How much will it cost?

By the way, this will be my second time to travel to china. Will that improve my chances of being granted a 2-month visa? Will my problem be solved if I simply apple for multiple entry considering that china has borders with other countries?

Thank you!

You can get your visa extended from Local PSB in China days before your stay runs out. Bring your passport, visa, photo, and reason for extension. The process takes 4 or 5 working days. visa fee is different but almost the same with you apply for a new visa.

if you plan on applying for an extension in china you should only apply for a single entry visa. once you extend, your previous visa would be cancelled so you wont be able to use the 2nd entry. if you are going in shanghai the local psb is near the science and technology museum metro station line 2. you can apply one day before your visa expires. if you are given a 30 day duration you can extend it twice. docs needed 2x2 photo, completed application form, yellow/white paper temporary residence certificate. 7days processing. 160RMB. the consul decides how many days duration will be given.

Not easy to apply or extend visa in psb centers..especially Philippine passport. They extend 2 months one time , if has a family wth working visa who'll sponsor the applicant.anyway, no harm in trying!

its not easy if you had previous extensions and your duration of stay is 7 or 14 days. But if you are given a 30 day duration then the visa officers can extend the visa 2x 30 days each duration at the local psb. Im a philippines passport holder and i can tell you it was very easy.
