About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I’m in Shanghai working on a aid project for 6 weeks and intend on going to Japan and Hong Kong for a weekend each. I only got a single entry visa, what do I have to do to change this?

Visa can not be changed after issue, you can only apply for a new China visa. This time, apply for a multi entry tourist visa, and provide tickets to Japan and HK when submit your visa application. Keep in mind that visa officers are empowered to make final decision on the validity, duration of stay and times of entry of a visa and they may require you provide more relevant documents.
