About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hi,

I am from SG and I reached Shen Zhen via HK on 17th Dec 2010.
Current date is 1st Jan 2011. According to regulation, I can only stay for 15 days without a visa. Am I in violation of CN regulation and what is the penalty?

Yes, you are required to leave China before Dec.31, as the regulation, you will be fined for RMB 500 per day. But overstay for one or two days is not serious, and you may not be charged any if you are lucky.
