I have an overnight layover in Beijing at the end of January and was planning on getting a room near the airport and trying to see something before I have to go back to catch my connecting flight. How far is the Badaling Wall from the airport? Would it be possible to get a tour just to see this section of the wall? How early do the tours leave? I would like to leave as early as possible in the morning. Would definitely need an English speaking tour guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It is about 90km from Beijing airport to Badaling, Ms Daly. It is possible to get a tour just to the the wall. You can ask for the tour suitable for your time. If you leave as early as possible in the morning, I think half a day is enough.
