Hi, I have a layover in Shanghai 7:30pm - 8:30am on my way to another city in China, but I want to see nightlife safely there. Can anyone suggest...

1. Fastest most economical TRANSPORTATION from the airport (the train?)to.. ?
2. a CLEAN,VERY SAFE HOTEL with a window and HEAT, but not too expensive ?
3. VERY CLOSE to tourist nightlife (Bund, East Naijing St. Pearl Tower, view of the River, lights etc.)??
4. Is it safe for a woman to enjoy nightlife alone (no drinking though)?
5. Does the airport have safe lockers? Otherwise I'll have 2 suitcases to carry.

1. I think you mean from Shanghai Pudong Airport to the Bund, you may take maglev train from the airport to Longyang Rd.Metro Station, and then take Shanghai Subway Line 2 to Nanjing East Road where is just the Bund area.
2. Since it is the busiest area in Shanghai, most of the hotels there are expensive, only the chain hotels and inns are cheaper, but the condition maybe poor, but they are safe and with heat. You may try Shanghai Piaoying Hotel or Motel 168 (The Bund) Shanghai
3. It is safe to enjoy nightlife in Shanghai alone. Please don't worry.
4. Pudong airport do have luggage storage service both at the arrival and departure halls, maybe you can store your suitcases there, but remember to take money and travel certificates with you to be safe.
