Hi,
I am asking on behalf of a chinese friend who lives in Shenzhen.

Is it possible for a Chinese to use the ferry from Shenzhen to HKIA and fly e.g. to Thailand WITHOUT needing a visa resp. immigration procedure for HK?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Klaus.

Of course, your Chinese friend could do this way. HK visa is exempted for transit passengers within 7 days.

Thank you very much, this are good news!
Now the next question :-)

Since the departure time is very early (9 a.m.) it is not possible for my friend to use the ferry, because even the first ferry is too late. May he also use the bus from Shenzhen to HKIA?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Klaus.

Well, I think your friend has to arrive at the airport at 07:00 at least so he has to leave from Shenzhen at 05:30 at least. However, there is no public bus in operation at that time. He is better get to Hong Kong one day in advance.
