About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi,

I have indian passport and I am travelling to Inda from Melbourne via hongkong.I am planning to stay in Hongkong for 2 days. I heard that on indian passsport we don't need to applu for visa Is my understanding correct? Second DO i need to get my Passport stamped on airport ( i.e on arrival visa) how much it cost and how much time it takes and can i get that stamp itself in embassy in melbourne on Toorak Road.

Yes, Indian passport holders don't need a visa to Hong Kong for up to 14 days. You will get your passport stamped in the Hong Kong international airport(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/airport.htm) by immigration officer. But you don't need to pay for it. It takes only a few minutes.
