About:China Flight

I am from Canada and arriving at the Shanghai (PVG) airport. I am catching a flight via Air Asia from Hongzhou (HGH) airport. Do I need a transit visa G type or can I just simply leave the airport showing my tickets from Air Asia leaving within 48 hours. And information would be nice as I hear different answers.

Normally, visas are not required for Canadian passport holders who transit at Pudong Airport of Shanghai and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours (going out of the airport is allowed). For more details, you could consult the airlines or refer to the info. about China Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa.htm).
