I have 10hr lay over time at the Beijing airport and I don't have a visa. Is ther anyway I can meet my Chinese friend in Beijing? I fly from US though beijin to Bangkok.

You may apply a transit permit from the Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection office in the airport, then go outside the airport to meet your friend. Or you can ask for you friend to meet you at the airport.
