Is the walkway/stairs in Beijing Great Wall difficult to climb? Is there any cable car directly reach Badaling?

My family plan to visit Beijing on Mar next year. We intend to visiti Great Wall. What is your advice for an older aged (73 yr old)? What's to prepare for them? Is the walkway/stairs in Great Wall is difficult to climb? Is there any cable car directly reach Badaling or any convenient way for senior aged people?

It is better for the older aged to take the pulley to the top of the wall since the stair is a little difficult for the aged to climb. The ticket office of the pulley is located at the parking lot in the front mountain. It costs CNY 30 for a single trip and CNY 60 for a round trip. The entrance of the pulley is located near to Badaling Bear Garden. The pulley will spend five minutes to take you to the North Fourth Tower of Badaling Great Wall. From the North Fourth Tower, you can continue to walk forward till you reach Hero Slope (Hao Han Po) at the North Eighth Tower.
