I am would like to visit the Great Wall for one day on Dec. 26. Any recommendations? I see the bus 916 to Huairou reply below - would this work for me as well?

The direct 936 bus to Mutianyu is not available since late November, so, you can take bus 916 or 936 (not direct ones) to Huairou first. So, if you are going to Mutianyu Great Wall, take those buses. If you are going to see Badaling, it is 919 bus from Deshengmen Arrow Gate close to Jishuitan Subway Station of Line 2.
