About:

Hello on the 23rd of January 2011 I am flying into shanghai international airport from Australia with two other people in my party, arriving 12.45pm. We would like to then take a bullet train to Hangzhou that after noon. Could you please advise me how to do this. I am not sure what station to catch a bullet train from. Is it easy to use the airport train or other transport to get to bullet train? Can we purchase tickets on same day? or Where can I book and collect bullet train tickets from on the day?

Kind Regards

Louise

Well, you'd better take a bullet train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Hangzhou, which supplies frequent trains everyday. Once arrive at Pudong Airport, you'd better go to take shuttle bus Line 1 to Hongqiao Airport, which is located in walking-distance to Hongqiao Railway station. The bus will take you about one hour.

Generally, the train tickets could be purchase on the spot at the self-service ticket machines set in the railway station. If you would like to travel at designated time without waiting too long, suggested that you book the Shanghai Train Tickets(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/shanghai-schedule.htm) in advance via some agent.
