About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I am a citizen of Bosnia and Hercegovina, but I live in Sweden and have a permanent residence permit in Sweden. I am travelling to Thailand next month and I have a visa for Thailand, but I have 11 hours in Bejing before my flight to Bangkok. If I want to leave the airport to visit the city, can I apply for transit visa at the airport in Bejing? Is it possible and does it take long time for me to get the visa?

You need to apply for a China Transit Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/transit.htm) in advance from China embassy in Sweden(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/sweden.htm) because you will leave the airport in Beijing during the stopover. It is not easy to get the transit visa in the Beijing airport(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing/capital-airport.htm)

oh sorry, since you will stay less then 24 hours , no need to apply for visa.
