About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

I'm flying from Hong Kong to Vancouver with a 20 hour overnight layover in Shanghai Pu Dong. Do I need to pick up my luggage in Shanghai and re-check them in the next day, or can I have them checked-through to Vancouver? Does it matter that my ticket is a discounted one, Q fare class? Both flight segments are with China Eastern. Thanks!

If you hold a through flight ticket, you will do not need to re-check you luggage, it can be checked-through to Vancouver. If you hold a separated ticket, you will need to re-check you luggage . It doesn't matter that your ticket is a discounted one.

Thanks, Ms. SummerSnow! It's good to hear from someone with experience as the airline reps gave very mixed answers from having to sleep at the airport to needing to re-check in next day. The only thing they agree on is I should cancel my discounted ticket and buy a full-priced one from them. It's good to hear the truth from someone without the sales pitch. Thanks!
