About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

In the MTR website it is inicated that the Travel Pass with 2 Airport Express Single Journeys is only available at selected Customer Service Centres but not at the airport. If i buy the pass online (cheaper) then where do I claim the pass?

Dear Ms. Summersnow - But wouldn't I need a pass to board the Airport Express from the airport to lets say the Airport express Station in Kowloon?

Hi there thanks for the replies. It seems then that since a airport travel pass bought online with 2 airport express single journey tickets would not be very useful since I cannot claim it at the airport and since i have no pass yet then I cannot board an Airport express to the designated Customer Service Centers. Makes you wonder why would they sell it online with 2 single journeys then. I guess I have no other option then but to buy it online with only one single journey express ticket and buy a separate single journey ticket onsite at the airport.

Hi Mr Santos

Err that China lady gave you wrong info. You can board the airport express train even if you don't hold the Travel Pass. Just indicate the station you wanna alight online and collect at the station's counter (e.g. Kowloon station) you selected (print out your order to smoothen collection). Once you received the pass, u can use it to go thru the gantry and use the pass accordingly.

MTR corporation will send you "Order Confirmation" to your email address when you order online. Order confirmation has remarks that "For those who purchase airport express tickets or airport express travel pass, simply present a copy of "Order Confirmation" " Order History" with your passport and exact credit card used for placing the order, collect the ticket before exiting gate at Airport Express customer service centre at Hong Kong, Kowloon, or Tsing Yi Station" We usually claim our travel pass unlimited ticket at their office at the airport. You can inquire from customer service. They'll be helpful to direct you.

PS I should have included the beginning remarks " For those whoe purchase Airport Express Tickets or Travel Pass Online, no ticket is required when boarding the train at the airport station, Simply present at copy of "Order Confirmation" etc. (please continue the lines from my previous message).

You can claim it at any Customer Service Centre of Airport Express stations, Kowloon Tong, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Wanchai and Causeway Bay stations.

Hi, if you buy the pass online, you will need to pick the pass at the selected Customer Service Centers, according to the regulation of Hong Kong MTR, so you'd better buy it once arrive at the airport, or you might need to pick the card at other stations, but if you buy one way pass, you can use other transport mode to the hotel and pick the pass and use it when you are leaveing Hong Kong.
